Ultimate list of 50+ Cruelty free Nail Polish Brands

Spread the love

What is something that you look forward to during the Summer? For me, summer ~ colorful outfits👗, sandals👡, and fun summery nail paints💅 . I simply love playing around with all the pastel and summery color nail paints. But, sadly a lot of the mainstream nail polish brands like Sally Hansen, OPI etc. are all tested on animals.

But, not to worry, today, there are tons of Cruelty-free nail polish brands. In fact, a bunch of them are also Vegan and free of toxins like Dibutyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde, Toulene, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Ethyl Tosylamide, Xylene.

This list contains brands that have any of the 3 major certifications (Leaping BunnyCCFPETA). If a brand doesn’t have a certification and is part of this list, it means, I have reached out to the brand to ensure they meet the full set of requirements by asking the below list of questions:

  1. Are your products or individual ingredients within your products tested on animals?
  2. Do your suppliers or any third party companies test on animals on your behalf?
  3. Are your products sold in markets where animal testing is required by law (Ex: Mainland China)?
  4. Is your company owned by another company? If so, can you please specify who?
  5. Do you have leaping bunny, CCF or PETA certifications? If not, do you plan on filing for any of these certifications in the near future?

SYMBOLS

Symbols, I will be using against the brand to indicate if it’s Cruelty-free, 100% Vegan, Owned by a parent company that tests on animals. Below list is alphabetized and divided into relevant categories.

🌿- VEGAN
🏢- OWNED BY A PARENT COMPANY THAT TESTS ON ANIMALS

Along with the vegan symbols, this list also indicates if a brand is also toxin-free (3 Free, 5 Free, 7 Free or 9 Free)
